Camelina oil is extracted from seeds of the Camelina Sativa plant with seeds containing 40-47% oil. This excellent vegan oil is high in Omega-3 and Omega-6 fats such as alpha-linolenic acid, tocopherol and plant sterols. It contains up to 442 mg/100g of essential plant sterols.
In addition to plant sterols, Camelina oil is high in Vitamin E, an important antioxidant. Unlike some other vegan oils on the market, high levels of Vitamin E also make Camelina oil resistant to heat.
